My Play-Doh

I made my play-doh as a speech bubble as if the ghost, Hamlets father, ex King was speaking to him. It says , "Iam thy fathers spirit" from when he was telling Hamlet who he was.

The Twelfth Night

The Twelfth Night. By Catherine Livingston 8H

The blazing sun shone down on Chainville on the morning of the first day of the twelve nights. John, Lilly and their three children Scarlett, Olivia and Lewis drove down to their home in Chainville with the huge moving van following behind them. After three hours of endless driving they and the moving van finally arrived at their house, number fourteen Leaf road. They had mixed feelings of their new home. Lilly was unsure how safe their house was going to be for her children because of the incident that occurred four years ago. The house was far away from the main city along side no other house. It was in the centre of the of the Chainville woods where there was no telephone signals to the main city. As three days went by extremely fast, the fourth day came when the bad luck began, the bad luck that they never expected…

When Lilly woke up the next day she walked down the stairs and into the kitchen and she noticed that all of the clocks in the house had changed to say midnight on it. She wondered if it was one of the kids playing a trick on her as it was the only logical explanation. She went around the house and changed all the clocks back to the correct time and pushed it to one side of her mind so she could get on with her daily routine. She didn’t give it any thought until two days went by and again she came down stairs at the same time and two days before, and was again greeted by all the clocks saying midnight. However all of the windows where open even though she knew that she shut them tight and locked them before she went to bed the night before. Suddenly a chill spread through and down her spine, was the same thing as four years ago happening again? She wondered slowly in and out of the rooms in the huge house, she thought that this was the new start they needed.

Over the next few days too many things happened for her to believe that the activity was only coincident and maybe moving back here was a big mistake!

On the eleventh day she decided to tell her husband John and her three children what had been happening to her and the house, thought that John would believe her after what happened four years ago in the same house. But what she thought didn’t happen. John told her that she needed to make another appointment with her psychiatrist because she was imagining things again. She told them that she would prove that she wasn’t imagining things again and stormed out of the room.

When the twelfth day came she didn’t have to prove anything, the day ran by smoothly until the twelfth night came. It was a chilly and foggy outside. John and Lilly where having their evening meal when Scarlett shouted and John said he would go and see if she was okay. As he was checking on her the doorbell rang, John said “Could you answer that?” Lilly got up and answered the door she closed it right away. As she turned around John was behind her, they both walked into the kitchen there was no table, chairs, oven, nothing, it was just an empty room. Lilly cried out to John
“I told you I wasn’t imagining things”
John said “You grab our valuables ill get the kids in the car. We can’t risk anything after what happened to Michael four years ago. Can we?”
Lilly replied “No we can’t, your right!”
They drove as fast as they could away from 14 leaf road never to return again. 4 years ago they left the same house on the same date only this time they only lasted twelve nights.
